Racine's one and only Japanese Experience
Having never been to a Japanese restaurant, or anywhere serving up a great hibachi dining experience, I was delighted to try out Shogun, Racine's first authentic Japanese restaurant. To be more specific, they consider themselves to be a Japanese steakhouse. Having tried the steak, I can assure you that they've earned the title "steakhouse". They have several chefs and it was interesting and entertaining to watch them all. The show was well worth the money spent. At about $30 per person, it's more than just your regular night out at say, Lonestar.
It's located on 6th and College, or 1 block west of Kewpees in downtown Racine. There were quite a few people in the restaurant when I was there which is a good sign that positive word of mouth is spreading.
If you're into trying new things, try the sushi. If you are a little picky, stick with the steak. Either way you'll enjoy it.
